Born in 1965 in Bristol, Guy Denning is a British artist whose work evolves between tradition and modernity. Rejected several times from the Schools of Fine Arts, he will follow a history of art at Open University. As artistic creation is his real driving force, Guy Denning does not get discouraged and befriends several artists who reinforce his self-taught technique.

First interested in abstraction in the early 1990s, and especially by the work of the American painter Franz Kline, Guy Denning will naturally return to figuration to represent social issues. With his "punk" touch, he develops a world where political discourses and contemporary chimeras mix.

His aesthetic today touches an audience of urban art collectors interested in the sociopolitical messages of the artist.
